Verifying the network and memo before an OKX deposit
Sending crypto into OKX means copying a deposit address from OKX and using it on the sending side, whether that is a personal wallet or another platform. Two details cause most problems: the network and the memo. Many assets can travel on more than one network, and the sending side must use one that OKX supports for that asset. Some assets also require a memo or tag that identifies your account on a shared address. Missing either can delay a deposit or make it difficult to recover. This guide gives readers in Italy a short routine for verifying both before sending. It quotes no fees; the sending side shows its costs before you confirm.
Start on the OKX deposit page
Open the deposit page for the asset in the OKX app and select the network first. Read any notices shown for that network, including minimum deposit amounts and whether a memo is required. Copy the address and, if applicable, the memo directly from that page. Do not reuse an address from an old screenshot, because addresses and supported networks can change over time.
Match the sending side
On the sending wallet or platform, choose the network whose full name matches the one selected on OKX. Abbreviations can be misleading, so compare full names. Paste the address and memo into the correct fields, then compare the first and last characters of the address with the OKX page. If the sending side does not offer a matching network, stop and choose a different route.
Send a small test
For a first deposit on a new network or from a new source, send a small amount and wait until it appears in your OKX account. Check that the amount credited is what you expected. Then send the remainder using exactly the same settings. Skipping the test saves a few minutes; a mistake on a full amount can cost far more.
If a deposit has not arrived
Copy the transaction ID from the sending side and check it on a block explorer. If it is confirmed on the network but not credited, contact OKX support through the app with the transaction ID, asset, network and amount. Do not respond to strangers offering to recover deposits, and never share passwords or verification codes with anyone.
Risk boundary: OKX Italy Guide
Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.
