Find your OKX fee tier and actual charges before your first euro trade

OKX publishes fee tables, but what matters is the tier attached to your own account and what each trade actually cost. How to locate both, compare them, and keep a simple baseline for the euro pairs you use.

Fee tables are easy to find and hard to apply. The OKX fee page lists several tiers, separate rates for spot and derivatives, and different values for makers and takers. What you need to know is narrower: which tier your account sits in today, which rate applies to the pairs you actually trade, and how much was charged on the trades you already made. Starting with those three answers gives you a baseline you can check again whenever the rules change.

Locate your own tier inside the account

Log in on the web, open the profile menu and find the fee or trading fee level section. It shows your current tier and the maker and taker rates attached to it for spot and for derivatives. Compare that with the public fee rules page in the OKX help center, which explains how tiers are assigned and whether holding certain assets or reaching a volume level changes them. If the two do not seem to match, the account page is the one that applies to you.

Spot trades versus convert

Buying with euros can happen through a spot order on a euro pair or through the convert or buy screen. A spot order charges a maker or taker fee shown in the trade details. The convert screen often shows a quoted price that already includes its cost, with no separate fee line. To compare the two, note how many coins you would receive for the same euro amount on each screen at the same moment, rather than looking only at fee labels.

Read what you actually paid

After a trade, open the order history, tap the filled order and look at the fee and the asset it was charged in. If the fee was taken in the coin you bought, you received slightly less of that coin than the order size suggests. Over a month, export the trade history and add up the fee column. That total, compared with the volume you traded, is your real cost and the best baseline for future comparisons.

Keep the baseline current

Write down the date, your tier, the published maker and taker rates and your measured cost for the month. Check the fee rules page every few months or when OKX announces a change, and update the note. If your trading habits change, for example you start using limit orders that rest in the book, the measured figure will tell you whether the change actually lowered your cost.
